Position Summary: |
Designs and facilitates classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction to ensure quality delivery of instruction and integration of content within management and human resources and the School of Business. Provides for-credit instruction in formats such as classroom, online and/or laboratory settings, including grading. Serves as an instructor of record. Responsibilities |
- Develops and designs curriculum and instructional material relevant to a course of instruction;
- Advises students on academic and career direction within human resources or management;
- Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction, including assessment of student performance;
- Collaborates with school of business faculty and staff to develop teaching strategies relevant to the discipline;
- Maintains scholarly or professional qualifications in accordance with School of Business standards; and
- Contributes to the strategic development of curriculum and academic content through various mediums to ensure the integrity of the educational mission of the School of Business.

Qualifications |
|
Required: |
- A masters, Ph.D., or D.B.A. in human resources or management from an AACSB-accredited institution or in a closely related field from an institution with commensurate credentials (to be determined by comparable research quality standards for degree program faculty);
- A record of excellence in teaching in human resources or related fields or related experience;
- A record of significant professional experiences and professional development activities demonstrating expertise in human resource management;
- Education in human resource management and/or organizational behavior;
- Demonstrated skill in effective communication;
- A record of successful collaboration with others; and
- A record of working successfully with minimal supervision.

Preferred: |
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or GPHR Certification;
- Broad HR background;
- Background that would allow teaching in other areas of management;
- Previous experience facilitating undergraduate and graduate instruction OR workplace training programs;
- Experience successfully facilitating online instruction;
- Experience mentoring students or junior colleagues for professional development; and
- Experience using the Canvas LMS platform.
