IEM is looking for a Full Time - Appian Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Appian platform and possess the ability to design, develop, and implement complex applications. You will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure the delivery of high-quality Appian applications that meet business needs. Primary Location:
- Candidates can originate from anywhere in the United States, you will work remotely from home or personal office location
Essential Functions:
- Design and Development: Design and implementation of new features and implement improvements to existing features on the Appian platform
- Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
- Application Architecture: Develop application architecture and design frameworks, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
- Best Practices: Establish and enforce best practices for Appian development, including coding standards, unit testing, and deployment.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize application performance, troubleshooting issues and implementing improvements as necessary.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of the development process, including design specifications, code comments, and user guides.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest Appian features and industry trends, recommending and implementing new tools and practices to improve efficiency and quality.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Two (2) years of experience in Appian development, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
- Familiar in Appian BPM (Business Process Management) software.
- Strong understanding of Appian architecture, components, and integration capabilities.
- Experience with Appian SAIL, Tempo, Sites, Records, and Reports.
- Knowledge of Appian plug-ins and custom development.
- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and SQL.
- Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and RESTful services.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Appian Certified Application Designer.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of other BPM or low-code platforms.
- Experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).

- Office Locations: Office locations are often either owned by the client we work with or by IEM. All candidates are expected to follow any rules and regulations of the office in which they are required to work for that project.
