A Software Engineer job in Cincinnati, Ohio is currently available through Belcan supporting one of our primary aerospace customers. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor"s or Master"s degree in Software Engineering or a related field. The ideal candidate will have experience in data analysis, curation, and visualization and database management, supplemented by a foundation in SQL and a proficiency in a programming language like Python. This role will involve designing efficient data structures, optimizing queries, and developing visualization tools that support application needs.

Job Duties:
* Design, develop, and optimize relational databases to efficiently store and retrieve structured data.
* Implement and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and indexing strategies for performance optimization.
* Develop data pipelines and ETL processes to curate raw data into structured formats for application consumption.
* Build interactive data visualization dashboards and reporting tools to support decision-making.
* Work closely with application developers to ensure seamless data integration and usability.
* Automate data workflows using Python or other relevant scripting languages.
* Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry best practices.
* Troubleshoot database and performance issues, identifying and implementing solutions.

Required Qualifications:
* Strong proficiency in programming (understanding the importance of syntax, structure, and documentation).
* Experience with database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server, or equivalent).
* Proficiency in programming languages such as Python for scripting, automation, and data processing.
* Hands-on experience in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
* Experience working with large datasets and performance tuning.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Due to the nature of this work, US Citizenship is REQUIRED.

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $64, 000 to $74,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
