Overview:

Sentara Obici Hospital, located in Suffolk, Virginia is hiring a Full Time MRI Technologist.

In this role you will:

  • Provide quality MRI Imaging to patients under the direction of a supervising physician with adherence to the required protocol standards.
  • Duties may include but are not limited to:
    • Administration of MRI contrast per protocol
    • Evaluating and approving patient MRI safety screening form prior to patient entering scanner
    • Knowledge of MRI safety zones and other safety regulations.
    • Reviewing patient records for accuracy and evaluating all implants and devices through vendor resources.
    • Acting as a liaison with physician and supportive care personnel.
    • Maintaining patient records, reports, and files.
    • Performing patient MRI exam per protocol, reviewing imaging for accuracy and quality prior to sending for interpretation
    • Examination and procedure to patients and completes departmental documentation.
    • Explains examination and procedure to patients and completes departmental documentation.Must obtain ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT within 2 years of hire.

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

Our department is open from 6am - 10:30pm Monday through Friday and 6a - 7p on weekends. We have three MRI Tesla magnets. We are accredited by The American College of Radiology (ACR). We perform approximately 400 MRIs per month.

Education

  • Trade School Graduate

Certification/Licensure

  • BLS - American Heart Association

POSITION AVAILABLE

  • Full Time; 40 hours per week
  • Night Shift: 10pm - 8am Monday - Thursday.
  • Occasional On Call requirement
  • No weekend requirement outside of possibly being On Call

The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$32.13 - $53.55Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
