  • Compensation: $49,108.80 /yr

Overview / Job Summary:

The Faculty in Veterinary Nursing at WSU Tech is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in both classroom and clinical settings. This role includes ensuring that the curriculum is current, relevant, and aligned with industry standards, as well as fostering a learning environment that supports student success in the veterinary field.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:

  • Creates and/or uploads an appropriate course syllabus for each course to the Learning Management System.
  • Keeps students informed and updated concerning course content, requirements, evaluation procedures and attendance requirements.
  • Maintains industry credentials as appropriate to the teaching area.
  • Develops, revises, and/or recommends curriculum changes which meet the objectives of the course/program and improve student learning.
  • Fully participates in, utilizes and submits when due program review information, assessment data, and course/college evaluations.
Requirements

Education & Preferred Requirements:

  • Registered Veterinary Technician license, current, and maintained as expires, for the state of Kansas.
  • 1-3 year's professional experience in the industry, preferred.
  • Teaching experience in adult education preferred.
  • Must be available for required course assignments/field trips to offsite exotic and large animal locations.

Additional Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills - must be able to work with students, technical and administrative personnel in a pleasant, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to use personal computer and software applications, strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
