As a Plating Technician, you'll have the responsibility of processing customer hardware in various types of electro-chemical plating tanks under the supervision and direction of department team lead. What you'll do: Follow and complete work and router instructions Process various parts through their wet chemical process using proper chemical disciplines Utilize calibrated tools to ensure thickness and or size measurements Display proper methods for cleaning, glass bead, sandblast, degrease, and wet hone Handling of customer hardware using proper plating and masking tools Properly setup racks and tanks for plating operations Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department team lead Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulation Position Requirements: Previous plating experience Thorough working knowledge of metal finish disciplines Basic blueprint reading skills Demonstrate the ability to communicate in English verbally and written Basic math skills - equivalent of 8th grade math or elementary algebra Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds Preferred Characteristics: Teamwork Oriented Time Management Performance Management Results Driven Detail Oriented Benefits that make life better: Comprehensive Healthcare 401(k) with 100% company match; up to 5% vested Paid Time Off starting on day one Bonus opportunities Health- & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts Short- & Long-Term Disability Life & AD&D Insurance Learning & Training opportunities Raising the Standard of Excellence since 1911 With over a century of proven excellence, StandardAero has become an industry leader in MRO services and customized solutions in the aerospace field.
