Overview

Nakupuna Consulting is seeking to hire a Senior Training Specialist to support the implementation and configuration of advanced wireless networking infrastructure in support of the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN-N) Wireless Lifecycle Refresh and Expansion. The Senior Training Specialist will be responsible for developing and delivering technical training programs to Marine Corps personnel on the installation, operation, and maintenance of various wireless network systems, in accordance with ISTC's training standards and contract requirements. The Training Specialist will work closely with engineering teams, cybersecurity personnel, and Government stakeholders to ensure all course content is compliant, up-to-date, and aligned with Government-furnished documentation and feedback.



Responsibilities

    Assist in the development, delivery, and implementation of a comprehensive Training Plan outlining delivery strategy, resources, and methods.
  • Design course content including learning objectives, standards, conditions, and delivery methods for operator, maintainer, and administrator training on Cisco and Aruba wireless network equipment.
  • Conduct New Equipment Training (NET) on-site for USMC end users across six installations, tailored to system roles and operational environments.
  • Integrate technical documentation such as Installation, Operation, and Maintenance Manuals (IOMMs) and Software User Manuals into course materials.
  • Deliver training materials in both hard and soft copy formats to all students prior to instruction, in accordance with contract deliverable requirements.
  • Continuously improve training materials based on feedback from Government observers and field stakeholders, updating lesson plans and documentation accordingly.
  • Coordinate with program management, site engineers, and cybersecurity SMEs to ensure training content aligns with the final deployed configurations and security requirements (e.g., MCEN-N D400/D401 compliance).
  • Track student attendance, feedback, and course completion in accordance with project documentation and reporting requirements.


Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications: Demonstrated experience conducting equipment and systems training (ideally on Cisco or similar WLAN platforms)

Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of experience developing and delivering IT or telecommunications training in DoD or federal environments.

Clearance Requirements: This position requires an active Secret Security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Location: Must be willing to travel and work in any government installation in the United States Specifically Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Lejeune, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, Marine Corps Logistics Base (MCLB) Albany, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Beaufort, Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) Parris Island, and Marine Corps Support Facility (MCSF) Blount Island. Travel may be 20% or more.

Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers.
  • Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
