Are you our Finance Intern?

This role reports directly to the Business Controller and offers an on-site schedule based out of our Auburn Hills, MI, facility. Your ability to prioritize tasks, stay detail-oriented, think resourcefully, and take ownership of your work will be essential to your success in this dynamic internship experience.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting/Finance intern to join our team. In this role, you will learn and perform day-to-day financial transactions.

Background on the mission: The internship will include learning the AC financial model, data analytics projects, and supporting the migration of SAP ACT into our system. SAP ACT is a 2025 APC business priority and will provide great insight on the operating model and backbone of a financial system. This will be a major focus area of the internship.

Here's how you'll make an impact:

We are looking for an Accounting/Finance intern to join our team, where you will gain hands-on experience and assist with daily financial transactions.

• Collaborate with the AP Clerk to gain an understanding of the vendor and payment processes.
• Work alongside the AR Clerk to understand the customer and receipt processes.
• Assist with the management and entry of data into SAP.
• Work with the Business Controller/Finance Manager in all operational aspects of the company to understand how transactional data impacts the financials of the company.
• Work with the operations to understand how the project is created from start to finish (i.e. quote development, sales order creation, project budget).
• Support the Business Controller/Finance Manager in making decisions through accurate, relevant business and financial information.
• Prepare monthly reports and assist in month-end closing.
• Participate in several projects within the group.
• Perform other duties to support the Accounting/Finance team.

• Currently enrolled in a college or university pursuing a degree in Finance or Business
• MS Office knowledge and familiarity with ERP accounting systems
• Proficient in data entry and management
• Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, and self-management abilities
• Desire to be a part of a growing, dynamic team
