Position Summary:

As a Felician-Sponsored Ministry, Mission Integration is the sum of the processes, programs, and

relationships that serve to enhance our understanding and commitment to the charism, tradition and

values from which the ministry originated and in which it continues. It is more than activities and

celebrations. It is a means to view both the ordinary and complex issues of our ministries through the lens

of our mission and core values and to bring light to significant decisions.

The Director of Mission Integration has a key role in overseeing formation and integration of the Felician

Charism and Mission and Catholic identity into all operational and leadership aspects for the ministry. The

Director of Mission Integration will provide leadership, direction, and management in development and

execution of the Mission Integration Plan at the Villa St. Francis (VSF). The Director of Mission Integration

will work collaboratively with the President/CEO at VSF, and other professional staff to provide leadership,

formation, Mission and Heritage Week and other resources and programs that advance the mission, core

values, Catholic Social Teachings, expectations, and goals of Felician-sponsored ministries.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

? Serves as a member of the ministry's most senior management team and collaborates in the

integration of the Mission and Core Values in all aspects of operations (i.e., strategic planning,

policy development, leadership/staff development, and finance/budget)

? Assures management team/department agendas include a Mission and Core Values focus

? Serves as a resource to the management team, providing perspectives from Catholic social

teaching and moral tradition; raising values-based questions and concerns related to the

ministry's operations and decision-making

? Assures that Mission and Core Values orientation and ongoing formation programs are provided

for board members, management, staff, and volunteers, as appropriate

? Provides leadership for planning and implementation of the Annual Mission and Heritage Week;

demonstrates the capacity to lead programs and celebrations that focus on Catholic identity, the

traditions of the Felician Franciscan Sisters and the Mission and Core Values of Felician-

sponsored ministries

? Assures the visibility of appropriate symbols and art that reflect the Catholic identity of the

ministry

? Prepares and recommends an annual budget for mission-related activities

? Serves as a leader in preparation for and coordination of the periodic Sponsor Visit

? Collaborates with and supports the Administrator in the integration of the Mission and Core

Values in the daily operations of the organization

? Initiates and assures completion and implementation of the ministry's Mission Integration Plan,

supported by the Administrator and the Felician Services VP Mission Integration

? Completes and submits mid-year and year-end accountability reports to the VP Mission

Integration, and provides a summary to the ministry Leadership Team and Board of Directors

? Works with Human Resources to assure implementation of a values-based performance

management system to include ongoing training and formation

? Serves as a member of the Committee tasked with Ethical Reviews to foster collaboration and

ethical based decision making aligned with the Ethical and Religious Directives in Catholic Health

Care, the teachings of the Catholic Church, and in support of the Mission and Core Values.

? Serves as a resource to marketing and communications to assure the ministry identifies itself as a

Felician-Sponsored ministry

? Assists with the selection of staff for areas of responsibility.

? Has overall responsibility to direct, manage, supervise, and evaluate the Pastoral Care

Department.

? Establishes appropriate relationships with families, staff, and the public, which ensures a safe

environment that protects Resident rights

? Supports a person-centered philosophy

? Prepares and submits annual Community Benefit Report; including facilitating awareness of and

identifying staff responsible for collaboration in completing the annual Community Benefit Report.

? Provides management, leadership, and staff guidance and direction to ensure compliance and

alignment of all policies and procedures of the ministries, applicable federal, state, and local

requirements; and consistent with the mission, core values and expectations of the Felician

Sisters and the Catholic Church.

? Develops and leads an active Mission Integration Advisory Committee.

? Is an active member of the Leadership Teams and acts as a role model at all times

? In conjunction with Human Resources, participates in decisions relative to corrective action when

necessary for areas of responsibility.

? Fosters an environment that assures staff engage in respecting the human dignity of each

individual through Mission, Core Values and Catholic Social Teachings.

? Participates in the Employee Engagement Committee which assures a supportive, safe, and

positive work environment for all staff and responds appropriately to employee relations issues.

? Provides orientation for volunteers for mission, vision and the core values for ministry.

? Conducts periodic ministry assessment which identifies mission-related needs of the ministry.

? Participates in Felician Services led formal learning opportunities and coaching that supports and

enhances best practices for integrating Mission and Core Values in the operations of the ministry.

? Develops and leads an annual retreat for the leadership team.

? Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

? Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver's license and have reliable transportation.

? 5+ years related experience with proven leadership experience.

? Possess an academic preparation and/or relevant experience and formation, appropriate to the

scope and type of ministry. A Master's degree is the preferred academic credential (i.e., Theology,

Pastoral Studies, organizational development).

? Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products

? Is a practicing Catholic in good standing in the Church.

? Ability to articulate the Mission, Core Values, and Vision of VSF. Demonstrates the capacity to

lead formation, programs and celebrations that focus on Catholic identity, the tradition of the

Felician Franciscan Sisters and the Felician Mission and Core Values for Ministry.

? Possesses the competence, credibility, and willingness to participate as a full member of the

ministry management team to assure integration of Mission and Core Values in daily operations.

? Demonstrates the ability and courage to address issues that challenge the Mission and Core

Values.

? Supports the role of lay ministers in Catholic-sponsored organizations and the need for continuing

formation.
