QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. HOURS: 8:30am - 5:30pm Qualifications EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; and one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS: Mammography Certificate/ License required. ARRT and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Assist patients in preparation for mammography procedures. Explains procedures to patient/family to gain cooperation and understanding. 2. Perform mammography exams using correct positioning, shielding, equipment and technical factors. 3. Utilize PACS systems to attain and store radiology images. Ensure patient demographics match electronic radiology order and each image is accounted for. 4. Critique images and complete documentation in PACS network and electronic radiology order to ensure the study is promptly and correctly available for the Radiologist to interpret. 5. Operate mammography equipment to perform diagnostic procedures. 10. Ensure that patient history is correct and supplied to the Radiologist for interpretation. 11. Assist with Quality Control program in completing required QC/QA testing based upon MQSA protocol. 12. Assist with Medical Audit and patient abnormality followed-up based on MQSA. 13. Ensure that equipment is working properly; notifying Service Area Leader or designee of any potential malfunctions. 16. Order & maintain mammography supplies. 17. Adhere to the prescribed standards of Radiation Safety and Title 17. 18. Participate in the development, implementation and follow-through of departmental quality improvement activities.
