The Sierra Vista Hospital location, a 171-bed psychiatric care facility located in south Sacramento, is a full-service mental health facility and a center of support for patients and their families. Since 1986, we have offered our clinical expertise to those suffering from emotional, behavioral and addiction problems. Sierra Vista Hospital is seeking a Social Services Manager - Intervention Services Unit. The Social Services Manager provides administrative leadership and clinical direction and oversight to Intake, unit programming, DC planning and UM operations. The manager ensures appropriate psychosocial treatment programs and services that meet the needs of the patients are in compliance with regulatory agencies and the facility's performance objectives. Responsibilities include managing the SVCSU social services department/s, including intake, UM, therapy and case management and the services offered through the department/s, maintaining the department schedule, providing training and oversight to staff, support with identified needs, provide guidance regarding complex patient planning and potential risk factors, collaborate with other mental health providers to assist with developing and sustaining positive working relationships. Fulfill the tasks of and complete tasks as necessary in the absence of other social workers. Review and update policies as needed.
