Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Innovation:
Lead and manage Technology projects from business plans or grassroots through pipeline, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Oversee digital delivery advancements, virtual design best practices, and solutions in coordination with SSOE's Architecture, Engineering, and Project Management operations. While managing VDC leaders, specialists, and Autodesk product specialists to foster a collaborative environment and strong client relationships.
- Support Autodesk product management, business continuity, and enterprise account team and support alongside the Technology Practice Group Leader and Director of Innovation and Technology.
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize emerging technologies (including BIM/VDC, AI/ML, design or computational automation, and digital delivery processes/tools) with the potential to revolutionize AEC project delivery. Develop business cases for technology investments and lead implementation efforts.
- Establish, track, report project goals, conditions of satisfaction and outcomes to measure the success of digital transformation initiatives (e.g., increased project efficiency, improved client satisfaction, market share growth).
- Collaborate with various business unit leaders and the Director of Innovation to identify opportunities for process improvement and develop innovative solutions and approach for AEC industry tools and execution for internal and client-facing projects.
- Position SSOE as a thought leader in the AEC industry by actively participating in industry events, publishing articles, and engaging with the broader AEC community.
- Facilitate and participate in internal communities of practice (COP) related to digital advancements such as Design Automation, Model Management, and Virtual Design and Construction.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of VDC leaders and specialists, design automation practice, and Autodesk product specialists, fostering a high-performing, collaborative team environment. This includes performance management, career development, and skill enhancements.
- Identify individual strengths and areas for development within the team, creating personalized development plans, training opportunities, and providing avenues for growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, and technology partners.
- Work with SSOE's Project, Account, Department, and Practice Groups managers to serve clients and projects with innovative technological project approaches, actively contributing to internal and client-facing projects
Technology Enterprise Management & Standards:
- Responsible for Department budget and resources planning and staff development.
- Oversee the implementation and management of key technologies, including Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Reality Capture, other Autodesk product and automation efficiency tools, ensuring their effective utilization across projects.
- Collaborate with IT- Security - Development/Data to ensure seamless integration of digital delivery tools with SSOE's existing infrastructure and systems.
- Contribute to developing and reinforce standards, policies, procedures, and controls associated with system/application changes.
- Ensure the department meets the company's technology standards and is responsible for departmental profit and budget.
- Manage relationships with key technology vendors, including Autodesk Account, Consultants and 3rd party vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring optimal service levels.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Strong agile/Lean project or program management skills with proven results.
- Deep understanding of the AEC industry and its challenges.
- Extensive knowledge of the Autodesk suite of tools, such as Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Reality Capture, and AutoCAD Platforms and 3rd party efficiency tools and eco-system.
- Familiarity with Design Automation and computational tools/methods such as Dynamo or scripting.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing digital transformation strategies.
- Proven ability to lead and manage technical staff and teams.
- Strong business acumen and financial literacy.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels and cross-functioning teams.
- 8+ years of experience in the AEC industry, with a demonstrated focus on managing projects, people, and/or digital delivery and innovation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture, Engineering, Computer Science, Project or Construction Management or a related field.
- Professional certifications related to project management (PMP, PRINCE2), BIM/VDC (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional), and/or Autodesk tools.
- Recognized thought leadership in the AEC industry (e.g., publications, speaking engagements, awards).
- Salary Range: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 based on skills and relevant experience.
