Summary of Job Duties:This position is responsible for the comprehensive coordination of all in-house projects related to the Patient Access Department. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and organizational leadership to deliver projects on time, within scope, and budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management and apply PMI standards to lead projects effectively and efficiently. The Project Manager will report to and collaborate closely with the Senior Director of Patient Access, and will work closely with external teams, patient access operations, and UAMS leadership to ensure seamless integration of Patient Access operations within the designated areas. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS or BA in Health Administration, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5 years of project management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or able to obtain in 1 year
  • Master's in Business informatics, education, health management or related field with datacenter solutions and interactive video experience.

Special knowledge, abilities and skills:

  • Strong proficiency in project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Jira, Trello)
  • Demonstrate qualities of leadership and understand project scope.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Make sound decisions and judgment while maintaining flexibility to refocus on other events.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify deficiencies in plans and actual project progress.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Plan, execute, and close projects in accordance with PMI standards, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Create long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines.
  • Adjust schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessments.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Act as a liaison between IT, operations, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and alignment of project objectives.
  • Serve as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy.
  • Work closely with other Project Managers to coordinate interdependent projects and resolve conflicts.
  • Communicate with patient access leadership to keep the project aligned with their goals.

Vendor and Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with external vendors to ensure quality deliverables and timely project execution.
  • Negotiate contracts, define SLAs, and monitor vendor performance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Present regular status updates and performance metrics to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.

Quality Control and Monitoring:

  • Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected.
  • Use project management tools and methodologies to track progress, manage risks, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to meet project goals.
