Security Officer - Utility Inspection

As a Security Officer - Utility Inspection in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more .

In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling designated areas within the utilities sector, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. Your duties include conducting routine patrols and remaining visible to provide exceptional customer service and communication. This position requires a professional who embodies our values of agility, reliability, and innovation, while fostering a caring culture that prioritizes people. You will work collaboratively with a team, always acting with integrity to deliver outstanding service. This is not a driving or armed post.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service by implementing security procedures and site-specific policies, and when necessary, engage in emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations with a calm, problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Florida Security Professional Guard Card required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
