Senior Application Developer

SUMMARY:

OIG is seeking a senior level Application Developer. The application developer will update current applications, create custom applications, and workflows.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Gather and document the business requirements.
* Propose application solutions that meet customer requirements.
* Develop, test, and implement the applications including workflows.
* Maintain current applications.
* Create user guides and "How to" training aides.
* Create Test and training plans.
* Create technical support documentation.
* Analyzes, detects, and documents anomalies and problems in web applications.
* Provide technical advice and recommendations to the Branch chief(s) and program office managers on matters relating to system software requirements, programming techniques and languages, and database issues.
* Perform other duties as may be appropriate for the accomplishment of organizational objectives.
* Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSURE:

* Minimum of five (5) years significant experience in Application Development.
* Minimum of five (5) years significant experience in Business Analyses.
* Ability to adapt to changes in course while maintaining productivity.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all project(s) stakeholders.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Excellent problem solving abilities.
* Must be highly organized.
* Ability to plan, organize and keep up with multiple projects and multiple project deadlines with minimal supervision.
* Expertise building Web based applications using ColdFusion 21 or greater.
* Expertise building Web based applications using PHP.
* Expertise building custom Web applications with the capability to integrate with current tools, MS O365 components.
* Expertise with SQL Server and associated tools (SSMS, Toad, BIDs, SSRS).
* Expertise with MySQL Server (installation, Configuration, and tuning) and associated tools.
* Experience with Postgres databases (installation, Configuration, and tuning) and associated tools.
* Experience writing Code that incorporates data encryption (ColdFusion and SQL Server).
* Experience using Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins.
* Experience building custom Web applications with HTML 5.
* Experience building custom Web applications with JavaScript frame works, such as Node.js and Angular.js
* Experience building custom Web applications with CSS frame works, such as Foundation and Boot Strap.
* Experience using various APIs and web services in custom applications.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Essential functions require light to moderate physical exertion in lifting and carrying items weighing from 10 to 50 pounds with occasional lifting over 50 pounds with assistance. The position requires long periods of standing, stooping, climbing and working in areas of operating equipment. Work shall be performed throughout the buildings and some outside work may be required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

A professional office in which typical office equipment and information technology is used.

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE:

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain PECI Clearance. Must be a US Citizen.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:

A satisfactory background screening, negative drug test, positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States are required.
