Applies advanced knowledge of principles, theories, concepts and industry practices to assist in planning or modifying facilities, machines, equipment, or processes used in processing or manufacturing products. May also have emerging responsibilities for programming automation and controls systems involving PLC's (programmable logic controllers), HMI's and custom applications for aerospace manufacturing equipment.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
Completes assignments in a timely manner by scheduling work assignments independently, and providing or approving written status reports for both internal and external distribution.
Prepares all maintenance work orders and schedules preventative equipment maintenance while maintaining the established budget and schedule guidelines.
Provides Engineering estimates for facilities modifications and equipment purchases.
Manages safety, environmental, and security practices for compliance with corporate, state, and federal guidelines.
Reviews and approves of schedules and budgets for fiscal and manpower planning.
Assigns available maintenance resources to address and resolve specific production related problems or tasks.
Supports internal Statistical Process Control (SPC) teams by analyzing data trends or structuring experiments to identify key elements that effect the performance or quality of the process.
Communicates technical requirements to our internal and external customers.
Structures and organizes technical training for the advancement of employees within the division.
Maintains required engineering data entries to the management information system.
Creates and reads logic and flow diagrams for program design, programming, simulation, testing and start-up on manufacturing equipment.
Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications and departments other than the primary assignment.

Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree. Engineering
If applicable, a combination of experience and training may be substituted for the education requirement.

Safety training applicable to the job and work area.
