Salary: $80,000+ DOE plus sales bonus

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

SALES AND MARKETING



  1. Achieve group sales targets and revenue goals through effective sales and negotiation strategies to identify new business opportunities. Align efforts with market conditions and hotel needs to optimize revenue and drive growth.
  2. Proactively and promptly manage, qualify, solicit, and secure group room inquires and bookings. Prepare proposals, contracts, and other brand communications to facilitate the closure of sales. Identify opportunities to up-sell into premium and suite categories to maximize revenue.
  3. Collaborate with internal departments, including catering, front desk, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of group bookings.
  4. Work with the marketing team to create targeted promotional materials and campaigns for group business.
  5. Compile lists of prospective clients and key accounts from business directories and other sources to generate sales leads. Maintain strong relationships with top accounts to ensure continued business.
  6. Host impactful site inspections and familiarization trips as needed to showcase the hotel's offerings.
  7. Maintain active liaison with competitors regionally through personal contacts, professional and industry associations. Monitor pricing, room pricing levels, facilities and function activities at competitive facilities to ensure the Hotel remains in a competitive position.
  8. Monitor actual sales performance and revenue to assess progress against individual and hotel goals and adjust strategies as necessary. Work with supervisor to forecast revenue for incoming groups monthly.
  9. Follows up on the progress of clients booked, such as room night pick up and with the Meeting & Services Manager and Sales & Catering Coordinator to ensure maximum occupancy.
  10. In-depth knowledge of the primary group sales market, client preferences, and industry trends, coupled with a robust client base.
  11. Represent hotel in community affairs and industry related events when required.
