Job Description
The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting with the day to day financial operations and transactions of our United States and India entities, with a primary focus on our US entity. Additionally, given the nature of our organization, the Senior Staff Accountant will also assist in key departmental projects related to both systemic and manual process improvements and efficiencies. .
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and assist with the monthly financial close process including, but not limited to, customer invoicing, preparation & creation of general ledger entries, and project based accounting analysis and tracking Assist in preparation of the monthly financial reporting by researching and analyzing information from the general ledger system; including the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flows, and Budget to Actuals reporting. Reconciliation of key Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts Maintain and prepare all client project and internal product development project financial data and underlying support Assist in both the United States and India audits on an annual basis in the preparation of accounting memos, research of relevant guidance, compilation of additional support, and preparation of the consolidated financial statements Answer accounting and financial questions from internal and external stakeholders by researching and interpreting data Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confident. Ad hoc reporting and analysis of financial data as required Other Duties and Responsibilities may include assisting with tax compliance and other non-routine departmental projects
Qualifications:
Education:
Experience:
5+ years in Accounting or related field Prior experience with Workday Financials
Proven ability to analyze complex financial data Strong understanding of US GAAP, especially as it relates to the technology industry.
India AS knowledge a plus
Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Detail-oriented Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office or equivalent tools.
