Position Overview

Position Summary
Under direct supervision assists in the coaching and management duties for the Women's Soccer Program.


Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attends and participates in the organization and management of the program.
  • Assist with game operations for women's soccer
  • Assist in monitoring and supporting student-athletes in academic progress.
  • Coordinates recruitment of student-athletes recruitment in accordance with NCAA rules.
  • May assist in planning and arranging team travel and may perform other administrative duties as appropriate.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • At least one year of related experience required
  • A valid New Mexico Driver's License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment is also required, as well as the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle in all kinds of weather and road conditions
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated coaching skills in are of sporting specialty.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with student athletes.
  • Must be fully committed to a positive student-athlete experience, promoting academic success and graduation and complying with NCAA, Lone Star Conference and ENMU policies
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable sports and playing rules.
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules governing the recruitment and retention of student-athletes.
  • Goalkeeping knowledge/experience preferred.

Working Conditions

Physical Demand and Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed during regular work hours, but will require frequent evening and weekend hours and frequent traveling
  • Work performed both inside a non-smoking facility and outside with extremes of cold and hot temperature changes, wet and humid conditions.
  • May have exposure to blood-borne pathogens
  • Work is medium in nature that at times requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a consistent amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
