Essential Functions 30% - Mows lawns, trims, prunes trees, fertilizes, maintains irrigation systems, waters, sweeps walkways and building entry ways 25% - Performs herbicide and pesticide applications, digs trenches, cultivates, plants and transplants, spreads mulch, rakes leaves/debris 20% - Operate various grounds equipment, such as tractors, mowers, edger's, trimmers, spreaders, aerators, top dressers, etc. 25% - Moves equipment and outdoor fixtures; operates parking lot sweepers and dump truck; empties trash receptacles; ensures safe working conditions and other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED OR An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation. Desired Qualifications A. Experience working grounds maintenance in a large property (20 acres or more) . B. Experience working on gardening beds and/or planting trees C. Experience with procedures related to irrigation systems D. Experience overseeding and fertilizing turf E. Experience using heavy equipment such as tractors and mowers Special Working Conditions
