Description

The CMU Supervisor oversees the daily operations of Cardiac
and Video Monitor Technicians, ensuring patient safety and efficient resource
management. This role is responsible for maintaining high-quality monitoring
services by ensuring accurate heart rhythm interpretation, prompt reporting of
abnormalities, and proper equipment functionality.

Key responsibilities include managing staff scheduling,
maintaining adherence to hospital protocols, and fostering effective
communication with nursing teams. The Supervisor also plays a critical role in
responding to patient emergencies, providing leadership and training, and
troubleshooting equipment issues in collaboration with Clinical Engineering and
IT. This position upholds organizational goals while promoting excellence in
patient monitoring and care.

Qualifications We're looking for a self-motivated professional leader with:
*Education & Experience: Associate degree or equivalent experience/training required. Minimum of 3-5 years of cardiac monitoring experience in an acute care setting required. ECG certification required. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
*Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with cardiac monitoring technology, Windows-based systems, and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
*Leadership & Operations: Strong ability to oversee daily operations, manage staff scheduling, track time and attendance, and facilitate conflict resolution. Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and workflow standards.
*Clinical & Quality Oversight: Maintain accurate CMU logs, conduct quality audits, and oversee staff performance in arrhythmia detection, patient monitoring, and emergency response. Ensure timely communication with nursing teams and appropriate documentation.
*Training & Development: Lead staff orientation, provide ongoing education, and drive workflow improvements. Deliver just-in-time feedback and monitor compliance with clinical protocols.
*Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Demonstrated critical thinking, initiative, and ability to prioritize workload effectively. Stay updated on advancements in cardiac monitoring and recommend improvements.
*Patient-Centered Approach: Ensure high-quality, sensitive, and respectful service to cardiac patients while optimizing the use of CMU equipment and resources.
