Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Occ Health Category: Healthcare Employment Type: Contract To Hire Reference: BH-383962 Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner OR Physician Assistant needed for a full-time temp contract / temp-to-hire opportunity with Yoh's well-known client located in Torrance, CA. Job will start with two week coverage starting April 14th with potential for temp-to-hire in the future. This clinic offers occupational health urgent care services for employees. Top Skills You Should Possess: Active/unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (FNP/ANP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) license in state of California Required: minimum of (3) years' experience as a NP/PA Previous experience in at least one of the following: Occupational Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Primary Care, Family Practice, or Corrections type setting Interpersonal skills necessary to interview, teach and counsel patients What You'll Be Doing: Treat minor work-related and non-work related injuries and illnesses Perform job-related physical assessments (pre-placement, return-to-work, fitness-for-duty) Provide onsite testing for strep pharyngitis, UTI, influenza, hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia Serve as a clinical leader, ensuring high-quality patient care What You Need to Bring to the Table: Ability to work Monday - Friday 8:00am to 6:00pm Thus far we need Monday April 14th to Friday April 18th and Monday April 21st to Friday April 25th; schedule TBD after this Current BLS Current prescription authority (furnishing license) Highly preferred certifications: DOT Medical Examiner, Drug Screen Collector, and Breath Alcohol Testing Computer skills with previous experience using EMR Strong clinical skills with experience in both fast-track and main emergency department settings What's In It For You?
