Our Wealth Management Securities Services group specialize in providing comprehensive asset servicing for trust accounts, including asset setup, maintenance, pricing, trade execution, settlements, and more. Job Description

Join our Wealth Management Services (WMS) team as an Operations Manager, leading the Corporate Actions and Income Processing team. In this role, you'll oversee daily operations, drive process improvements, monitor metrics, and manage compliance and risk to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to regulations while meeting service level objectives. Your team handles critical functions such as corporate action processing, income processing, class actions, proxy management, and tax relief/reclaim processing. You'll also collaborate with senior management to resolve high-impact, time-sensitive issues. If you're ready to lead in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, this role is for you!

How You'll Spend Your Time
  • You will manage assigned personnel, determine work priorities, and recommend additions and/or changes to staffing. You will exercise the usual authority of a manager concerning performance reviews, salaries, discipline, counseling, incentives, and terminations. You will provide staff with clear, concise guidelines and deliver performance feedback related to internal standards.
  • You will be responsible for department operations, providing solutions to complex problems that require judgment and expertise beyond staff experience and knowledge. You will review internal policies, operating procedures, and programs to ensure efficiency, making recommendations and implementing new programs or enhancements as necessary.
  • You will minimize operational losses and market exposure through effective internal controls. You will ensure internal work procedures align with departmental and overall divisional goals and objectives. Additionally, you will resolve technical issues related to work and equipment, collaborate with other departments and vendors, and ensure department processes and procedures meet customer needs.
  • You will work with corporate compliance and audit teams to ensure adherence to governing regulatory guidelines. You will compile and generate monthly reports for senior management review, define annual department objectives, develop operating plans, and prepare management, expense, budget variance, operational statistics, and quality reports.
Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of Bachelor's Degree in Management, Accounting, or Finance with 10-12 years of directly related experience in Wealth Management Operations, Securities and/or cash processing, and/or Back Office in Securities Operations. As well as, at least 2 years of experience in a management capacity or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred candidates will also have their Certified Securities Operations Professional (CSOP) designation from the ABA and / or the Certified Trust Operations Professional (CTOP) designation from Cannon.
