Location: Lippincott - 301 Lippincott DriveEmployment Type: EmployeeEmployment Classification: RegularTime Type: Full timeWork Shift: 1st Shift (United States of America)Total Weekly Hours: 40Additional Locations: Job Information: Job Summary: Respiratory Care Practitioner with a primary responsibility to maximize clinical outcomes for cardio-pulmonary patient populations through staff education, implementation of evidenced-based practices, coordination and integration of respiratory, nursing, and medical staff practices while demonstrating clinical leadership in the field of Respiratory Care. Position Responsibilities: Oversees learning and orientation, mediates educational and competency opportunities as well as the development of preceptorships within the Respiratory Care Department. Act as primary liaison for student clinical rotations. Design and assess clinical competency tools to guide and document staff professional growth and development Evaluates staff administered patient care and assessment skills through on-unit observation, chart review, discussion, and real time coaching. Evaluates new technology, techniques, and procedures in collaboration with department leadership-may include research and development activities. As assigned, serves as an integral member of interdisciplinary site and/or system teams and committees as respiratory liaison and communicates practice changes as approved by team and/or committee findings and decisions. Serves as a member of the system's Respiratory Care Practice Council. Participates in the periodic review and design of practice Policy and Procedures. Will coordinate with nursing for respiratory educational opportunities for nurse orientees, and any inservices for nursing units. Position Qualifications Required: Required Experience: 3-5 years clinical respiratory therapy experience required. Adult, Pediatric, and Neonatal intensive care experience preferred. Required Education: Graduate of an AMA approved program of study in Respiratory Care. Bachelor's Degree required. Master's degree preferred. Training / Certification / Licensure: Licensed by the NJ State Board of Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Care Practitioner American Heart Association (AHA) credentials in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Additional NBRC credentialing as Advanced Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) and/or as a Neonatal-Pediatric Specialist (NPS) preferred. AHA credentialed in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred. Annual Salary: $77,405 - $123,574 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant's experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
