The Senior Director, Respiratory Care & ECMO:
  • Develops, evaluates, and directs standards of practice for respiratory therapy and mechanical circulatory support, with an emphasis on currency, safety, and technologic advancement.
  • Directs all clinical, administrative, educational, and related operations provided by the department.
  • Develops and oversees quality assurance/performance improvement programs in accordance with regulatory requirements, National standards, and the goals, values, and mission of the

Hospital.

  • Develops and oversees operational and capital budgets for Respiratory Care and Mechanical Circulatory Support Program.
  • Directs individuals and work groups to continuously improve performance by creating an environment that fosters clinical excellence, professional development, and innovation.
  • Maintains technical, clinical, and professional competencies.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Current Massachusetts license as a Respiratory Therapist
  • Current registration by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Neonatal Pediatric Specialist
  • Bachelors of Science in Respiratory Therapy, Masters preferred
  • 10 years of clinical experience with four years being in a neonatal pediatric specialty
