Description & Requirements
How you will contribute:
  • Assisting clients in managing their FAR, CAS, and DCAA compliance initiatives as well as drafting compliance inquiry responses to regulatory parties
  • Supporting clients with incurred cost submissions, calculating forward pricing rates, indirect cost structures
  • Assisting clients with CAS disclosure statements, government billing, and contract close out
  • Utilizing advanced Excel and data management skills (v-lookups, pivot tables, macros, etc.) to help clients with budgeting and planning
  • Helping to review requirements to identify client needs regarding accounting policies and procedures, consolidations, and inter-company accounting
  • Assisting in practice development activities to include proposal support and recruiting initiatives
  • Supporting other Government Contracting consulting engagements performed by the practice

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS in Accounting degree is preferred, other business degrees or significant work experience in Government contracting will be considered
  • 2 years or more of experience in government contract compliance, preferably in a public accounting or consulting environment
  • Preferred knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Progressive experience and knowledge of FAR, CAS, JTR, SCA and DFARS regulations
    • Working knowledge of FAR and DFARS requirements and practical experience with the following contractor business systems: Accounting, Estimating, Purchasing, Government Property Management, EVMS and/or MMAS
    • Experience in working with government contract cost accounting requirements, processes, controls and/or issues such as CAS applicability and administration requirements
  • Ability to travel to serve clients as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA certification
  • Prior experience in working directly for or with DCAA
