Network and Electrical Engineer

TDI Technologies, Inc. (TDI) is seeking candidates for a Network and Electrical Engineer position supporting NIWC EHSS. This position will work with program managers, engineers, and technical staff to design, implement, and maintain network and electrical systems for enterprise solutions.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
2. Perform electrical engineering tasks, including system design, power distribution, and hardware integration.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve network and electrical system issues, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
4. Collaborate with software developers and system administrators to integrate network and electrical components into enterprise systems.
5. Conduct system testing, validation, and performance assessments to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
6. Assist in network security implementation and monitoring, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity best practices.
7. Provide technical support for hardware installations and maintenance, including cabling and power management.
8. Support the development and execution of implementation roadmaps, ensuring alignment with project objectives and deadlines.

Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

1. Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
2. 3+ years of experience in network engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Successful applicants must either have an active government security clearance or the ability to receive approval upon position acceptance.
2. Must have a valid US passport or the ability to obtain one upon position acceptance.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Essential Skills:

1. Experience with network configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting (routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs, etc.).
2. Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including power distribution and circuit design.
3. Hands-on experience with hardware installation, integration, and troubleshooting.
4. Ability to design and implement network security measures.
5. Ability to identify and improve configuration/deployment processes
6. Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software to find root problems and implement corrections.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
9. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience with industrial networking and embedded systems.
2. Familiarity with electrical CAD software for circuit design and documentation.
3. Experience with IT operations in an air-gapped environment.
4. Knowledge of cybersecurity compliance frameworks.
