Senior Compliance Analyst - Issue Management (Remote)

Overview

The Senior Compliance Analyst position will play a key role within the Second Line of Defense supporting the Compliance Issue Management program through oversight and monitoring. This role will primarily focus on supporting the Issues Management Program on behalf of Compliance to ensure alignment with applicable standards. Supports the metrics, data, and reporting that provides critical insights for key stakeholders. This position is responsible for executing the Compliance Risk Management Program of the Bank. Supports the administration of the technology solutions to support the programs. Builds influential relationships with cross-functional teams. This role will partner and collaborate with Business Line team members, 1st Line Risk Advisors, 2nd Line Risk and Compliance Partners.

This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.


Responsibilities

  • Compliance Improvement - Aids in the development and revision of policies, procedures, services, products, and systems that support regulatory compliance. Communicates changes to business partners and supports implementation of necessary changes to impacted business areas. May assist special projects or related business initiatives.
  • Business Support - Provides support for business programs, initiatives, and leaders. Serves as a consultant on risk best practices, processes, and regulatory requirements. Facilitates reporting and interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Compliance Expertise - Maintains a strong knowledge of current or changing laws, regulations, requirements, policies, and procedures that affect assigned area of the Bank. Serves as a resource to management and associates on compliance-related matters.
  • Oversight & Monitoring - Provides objective oversight of risks through effective challenge using defined methodologies and subject matter expertise. Provides leadership, consultation, and support for Compliance. Fosters business unit relationships and implements training to promote engagement in Compliance programs, including compliance with all risk policies and standards. May assist with presentations, workshops, and other materials as necessary to communicate risk management tactics. May provide guidance to less experienced associates in the department.
  • Issues Management - Support issues impacting compliance through their lifecycle, perform monthly reporting and analysis on active population, identify trends and develop projections, and provide expertise as warranted. Enhance or develop reporting (as necessary) for active engagements to provide awareness of progress and potential issues.
  • Data Analysis - Sources, validates, and interprets data. Analyzes data for discrepancies and risks, effectively communicates analysis output.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Financial Compliance/Regulatory Environment, Legal, Audit, Banking, or other related experience OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Financial Compliance/Regulatory Environment, Legal, Audit, Banking, or other related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist ("CAMS")
  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager ("CRCM")
  • Knowledge of Compliance and Risk techniques and practices.
  • Ability to work effectively with associates, managers, senior executives, and committees.
  • Knowledge of regulatory guidance pertaining to enterprise risk and operational risk.

The base pay for this position is generally between $80,000 and $100,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
