The Senior Manager of RCM Performance will lead and direct the RCM Performance Management team, working directly with the Revenue Cycle Operations teams to ensure successful delivery of quality Revenue Cycle performance from all Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) departments while maintaining positive communication and operational channels with field leadership. The ideal candidate has excellent organizational skills, a quality control mindset, and a project management/critical path-oriented approach to all projects. This role is a critical field leadership-facing position, with the opportunity to foster ongoing relationships and identify opportunities for RCM improvement. Excellent communication skills are required as well as the ability to manage across multiple organizations. This role is critical to the RCM organization, will be active/visible at all levels internally up to the corporate office and externally to the field.



Your Impact

    Drives the strategy and success of the RCM organization. Establishes operational objectives, policies, procedures and work plans through leading Performance Managers to oversee the overall success and measurement of the RCM organization.
  • Leads the Performance Managers to engage with field leadership to identify and resolve issues with RCM performance leading remediation plans with Revenue Cycle Operations teams. This includes leading Performance Managers to gather and summarize data that impact revenue cycle metrics that will improve financial and quality performance, structure sophisticated reports and presentations on financial status, opportunities and risks. Leading the team to develop insightful findings, provide recommendations and facilitate discussions across multiple departments.
  • Responsible for developing RCM department standard of quality metrics related to claims processed, claims rejected, claims denied, collection volume and rates relative to fee schedules, patient payments, account write-offs due to contractual issues and collections problems.
  • Responsible for staying abreast of nuances with our business partners and strategic healthcare changes.
  • Develops models that connect strategies to measures of performance that ensure successful reporting of revenue cycle accounts receivable.
  • Develops a process for timely, accurate, and effective analyses and reporting of financial metrics to field leadership
  • Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires conceptual thinking and an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited University, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of revenue cycle client experience with at least 5 in a leadership role
  • 4-5 years of RCM consulting experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong understanding of revenue cycle operations
  • Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver's license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.

Salary range of $142,900 - $180,000 + bonus+ benefits. This pay range is posted to comply with State Law. Hanger salary ranges vary based on skill, ability, knowledge, geographic location and other variables.
