  • We are hiring immediately for full time CAMP BOSS positions.
  • Location: Remote Mining Camp - Northern Idaho
  • Schedule: Full-Time Rotational schedule, on-site stays 4 weeks on, 2 weeks off. Days and hours may vary. More details upon interview.
  • Requirement: Previous kitchen management experience is required. Previous remote job site experience is preferred, but not required.
  • NOTE: This position is an on-site stay for rotational schedule at a remote mining camp with weekly pay, free lodging and free meals. Perfect for those who want to save on rent, food and commute costs while earning a substantial check and enjoying more time off than your standard weekend!
  • Pay: Paid weekly with overtime! Pay checks total up to $2,600 per week!

Job Summary

Having a great Camp Boss is a crucial component a successful camp services operation of a remote site, whether it is an offshore location or vessel, or in one of the many isolated locations supporting mining, construction, oil and gas, or a government-funded science project, or disaster relief. The Camp Boss is responsible for maintaining the high standards associated with the site's living accommodations with a focus on safety of the associates he/she supervises, quality of food and cleanliness, customer service presentation, and high morale of the staff.

  • Hands-on supervise the Camp Services operations of a remote construction camp in Northern Idaho.
  • Leads daily safety meetings and supervises associates to ensure the highest safety standards are maintained in all food serving, food storage, and housekeeping areas in accordance with company, client, and governmental requirements.
  • Administers the counting and recording of weekly and monthly inventories.
  • Ensures contract compliance and staff awareness of contractual obligations.
  • Advises management of client requests for services outside the ESS contract Scope of work immediately.
  • Maintains great communication and customer service with the client, guest, and staff.
  • Manages purchasing and inventory control to minimize costs, comply with budgets, reduce waste, avoid product shortages, and control food, labor, and purchasing expenses.
  • Oversees preparation of all food according to the menu and number of persons to be served, with a focus on quality, appearance, adequate production and stocking levels in all serving areas, and minimizing leftovers and product waste.
  • Assists in serving meals, remaining present at the serving line during meal periods to receive customer comments and feedback.
  • All other duties as assigned.
