NDT Level II Technician

StandardAero Augusta is a Business Aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) facility, specialized to support an extensive range of aircraft models, including renowned brands such as Falcon, Hawker, Challenger, Gulfstream, and Embraer. With a significant 80,500 sq ft expansion opening in August 2025, we're doubling our footprint at AGS. Our facility focuses on 22 models of aircraft on the Airframe side, while our Engine Shop performs comprehensive overhauls on Honeywell HTF7000 and TFE731 engines, APUs, and performs diagnostics in our state-of-the-art Test Cells.

As a Level II NDT Technician, you will utilize your expertise in Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection, Magnetic Particle Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, and Eddy Current Testing to ensure the airworthiness and safety of aircraft and engine parts. You will perform detailed inspections during maintenance, repair, and modifications to verify compliance with FAA regulations and technical manuals.

What to expect in this role:



  • Perform the specific non-destructive test process (FPI, ET, MT, UT).
  • Inspect all types of aircraft parts (including engines, structures, landing gear, accessories, etc.) before, during, and after maintenance.
  • Inspect and interpret the test results.
  • Document the completion and test results of non-destructive test process.
  • Maintains personal qualifications as stated in the appropriate company process.
  • Supervise trainees in the on-the-job trainer non-destructive test training requirements.
  • Moves between production assignments that utilize multiple NDT skills.
  • Ensures the functional and acceptable status of the non-destructive test equipment in accordance with the appropriate company process.


Basic Qualifications:



  • Certified as a level II or III according to the requirements of ASNT or NAS 410 as a level II in Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI), Magnetic Particle Test (MT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Eddy Current Testing (ET).
  • Must be able to and willing to provide evidence from previous employment that meets the requirements of NAS 410 of accepting the certification in the method.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • ASNT NDT Certification, or equivalent certifiable NAS 410 training.
  • Experience working in Aviation and/ in an MRO environment
