Student Nursing Assistant

General Summary of Position

This entry level position has been created specifically for nursing students who have completed Fundamentals of Nursing and have a valid CNA license.

Job Summary:
Our Student Nurse Assistant (SNA) position will afford you the opportunity to apply what you have learned in your nursing program. The role of the SNAwill providedirecthands-on tech-based experience as you assume responsibility for the care of a group of patients under the supervision of an experienced registered nurse (RN). Your skills will shine through as you assistwith daily tasks fromorganizing care for our patients to preparing patients for transfers and discharge.

Having an opportunity to work from the Float Pool will diversify and solidify your clinical skills as you prepare for the next step in your career path as a Student Nurse Extern during your senior year of nursing school.

Availablestart date: June 2nd or July 7th / Orientation does consist of several days which must be completed in order to fully participate in this role.

RequiredCommitment:During the summer break, you must be able to commit to working at least two shifts per week in order to successfully complete orientation.

Once classes resume in the fall, a commitment to working two (12-hour) shifts per six-week schedule will be required.

Hours: 12-hour shifts / Flexible scheduling to fit your school schedule

Pay:$18.77 per hour

Education/Training:Active enrollment as a nursing student in an accredited nursing program; Successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing (or the equivalent) in an accredited nursing program; Official transcripts will be required at time of hire and at the end of each semester to validate activeenrollment.

License/Certification:CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification by the Maryland Board of Nursing is required;BLS(CPR for Healthcare Providers)certification.

Experience:No clinical experience outside of nursing school is required.

This position has a hiring range of $18.77 - $18.77
