Overview

R&P is looking for an HR professional to join our team. R&P is a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management, Technical and Industrial Services to government clients. We are seeking a Director of Human Resources ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment.



Responsibilities

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for overseeing all Human Resources functions within R&P and reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). This role involves strategic planning, policy development, and ensuring compliance with all applicable state, and federal employment laws and regulations. Specific responsibilities will include:

    Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage Human Resources staff.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.
  • Oversee employee relations, employee communications, performance management, and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Implement and manage company training requirements.
  • Ensure effective utilization of Human Resources management tools/systems.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
  • Manage HR budgets and resources effectively.
  • Perform research, analyze company trends and execute best practices for hiring, talent management and retention.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum of 15 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in a DoD contracting environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of federal/state employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Salary
