Overview Abacus Technology is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to support the Corporate HR team in performing the day-to-day functions for multi-national and international government contracting firm. This position would provide an excellent opportunity to build knowledge and experience in all areas of human resources in a Corporate setting. Responsibilities
Provide daily support to the Human Resources department through a variety of day-to-day tasks from new hire setup, benefits and wellness administration, leave and disability program coordination, and COBRA benefits.
Qualifications 1-2 years' experience in an HR or Benefits role. Bachelor's degree in a human resources or business management related field; may substituted with experience. Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now, reporting and analyzing employee data is preferred. Must have excellent attention to detail, superior organizational and customer service skills, and exercise confidentiality with sensitive employment data and issues. Able to work well independently and be a team player. Must be self-motivated to see projects through to completion. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Excellent attitude and willingness to grow and develop in HR role. Proficient in MS Office suite, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel. Good understanding of state and federal employment law and regulations applicable to federal contractors, highly desirable. PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus. Must be a US citizen.
