Magnetic Seal has an opportunity
for an Engineering Intern to
join our team! This will be an onsite internship in Warren, Rhode
Island.


The Engineering Intern will be directly
supporting Magseal's internal Research and Development (iR&D) projects to
mature this technology from design concept to production. These
activities will include design, analysis and testing of this patented design to
mature it for our launch customer. The Engineering Intern will also be
responsible for supporting the wider engineering team in design, analysis and
manufacturing support for the various magnetic seal product lines.

Essential Functions:
- Responsible for supporting key design, development, implementation and analysis activities of mechanical rotary face seals primarily used in the secondary power systems for the aerospace industry.
- Responsible for 3D modeling, drawing creation, reverse engineering, and component selection.
- Provides engineering, manufacturing and project management support.
- Evaluates our products, parts, procedures and processes for affectivity and reliability.
- Develops and executes test plans as required, including test rig design, operation and data collection as necessary.
- Prepares data-driven engineering reports for internal and external customers as needed.
- Researches and analyzes customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
- Interacts with other departments, customers and suppliers as required.
- Follows in house engineering processes and will assist in the creation and improvement of companywide process documentation.
- Recommend & implement process and product changes in support of internal & external customer(s).

- Possess high self-motivation, persistent drive and takes the initiative to realize goals and objectives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication to build loyal relationships both internally and externally with professional presentation & training competency.
- Computer skills to include all Microsoft office applications, engineering CAD (Solid-works), FEA/FEMA, project/time management software such as Outlook for effective time management.
- Position will offer unique and complex engineering challenges that require persistence, original thinking and a positive attitude.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent is required.
- Experienced in 3D modeling and conducting FEA using SolidWorks or an equivalent system, is highly desirable.
- General knowledge or working experience of gearboxes, transmissions and accessories is desirable.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Must be local to Rhode Island from June 2025 through August 2025 as this is an onsite internship.

ITAR/EAR Compliance:
- This position requires access to export-controlled information and/or hardware, and candidates must be U.S. Persons that comply with all U.S. Export control laws and regulation. As such, U.S. citizenship, U.S. lawful permanent resident status, protected person status under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or the ability to meet ITAR and EAR requirements is required.
