Rapid Automation Development Lead (Rio Tinto Services Inc., Chicago, IL):

Collaborate with business-facing development team to deliver new solutions for the commercial business. Analyze, design and develop systems, business processes, data, and interfaces. Support and enhance existing tools and applications utilized by commercial business. Converse directly with commercial business end-users to quickly automate processes and translate domain-specific business logic to working tools. Collaborate with other developers, product analysts, solution architect and testers as part of the wider team within Commercial Services & Digital team.

Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, $146,118.00 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), Information Technology or a related field and 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), Information Technology, or a related field and 5 years of related work experience.

Must have 4 years of experience in:

  • Utilizing Power BI;
  • Working with relational databases; and,
  • Designing prototypes and improving existing solutions and processes for scalability.

Must have 4 years of mining industry experience, in commodities trading, mining metal, or financial services.

Must have 3 years of experience in Python and C# programming languages.

Must have 2 years of experience in utilizing Power Platform (Power Automate).

International travel required up to 10%; no domestic travel required.

Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.

Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
