Bridge Structural Engineer

Join the V3 Team and take your career to the next level! Our Structural Group is expanding, and we are looking for a Bridge Structural Engineer to join our Transportation & Municipal Engineering team in Woodridge/Chicago, IL.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings, including 3D bridge modeling.
• Perform structural analysis and design calculations.
• Perform bridge inspection and load ratings.
• Perform quantity and cost estimate calculations.
• Prepare construction specifications.
• Work closely with other V3 disciplines on multi-faceted projects.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from ABET Accredited university. Master's degree with a structural focus is preferred.
• 4-8 years of bridge design, analysis, load rating, inspection experience.
• Experience in projects for clients such as IDOT, Illinois Tollway, Chicago DOT, County DOT's and local municipalities.
• Familiarity with AASHTO, AREMA, IDOT and ISTHA design standards.
• Proficient in MicroStation. Familiarity with OpenBridge Modeler a plus.
• Knowledge of design software (OpenBridge Designer, MDX, LPile, STAAD).
• EIT license required. PE or SE license is a plus.
