Your Mission: We are looking for a reliable and dedicated CDL Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods to various locations in a timely and safe manner. As a CDL Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for operating commercial vehicles, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of products, and maintaining the company's high standards of customer service. Responsibilities:
- Operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV), box truck or tractor truck with flatbed trailer, to deliver goods to assigned destinations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the safety and functionality of the vehicle.
- Follow route schedules and ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
- Load and unload cargo safely, utilizing proper handling techniques.
- Ensure all deliveries are properly documented, including receipts, delivery confirmations, and any issues that arise.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel, and delivery times.
- Communicate with warehouse manager and customers regarding any delays or issues.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure a safe driving environment.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues or accidents immediately.
- Represent the company professionally while interacting with customers and the public.
Your profile:
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CDL driver.
- Clean driving record and history of safe driving.
- Ability to lift, carry, and load/unload heavy items (up to 50-100 pounds).
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ability to perform basic checks.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to navigate and follow detailed delivery routes using GPS systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
- Ability to bend, lift, and carry heavy items.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
- Must meet the physical and medical requirements for CDL holders.
