Wieland is hiring a International Logistics Coordinator I. The International Logistics Coordinator I will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the export logistics operation at the Granite City facility. Responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient transportation of goods from the company's location to international markets. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of international shipping and customs regulations. Works closely with various internal departments, such as sales, purchasing, accounting, and warehousing, as well as external stakeholders, including freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers. This role is located in Granite City, IL and will be fully on-site. While this role is local, occasional travel to other locations will be required (15-25% travel).

Pay Range: $49,953 - $74,929 bonus potential



Responsibilities

International Logistics Coordinator I Responsibilities:

    Coordinate and manage all aspects of export logistics, including scheduling, documentation, and customs compliance.
  • Prepare shipping documents, such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international trade regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate preparation of export orders, including picking, packing, and labelling of goods.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and ocean carriers to arrange transportation of goods and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Maintain and update shipping records, tracking systems, and database to ensure accurate and accessible information.
  • Resolve any shipping-related issues, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies, by coordinating with relevant parties and implementing corrective actions.
  • Keeps updated on international trade regulations, customs procedures, and shipping trends to ensure compliance and recommend process improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize export logistics processes and identify cost-saving opportunities.

International Logistics Coordinator I Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing shipping documents and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
  • Proficient in using shipping software and systems to track shipments, generate reports, and maintain accurate records.
  • In-depth knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and freight forwarding processes.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze shipping data, identify trends, and provide insights for process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams, external partners, and customers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in logistics management, preferably in exporting context.
  • Hazmat certification is preferred.
