Partner with the best

As a Procurement Specialist, you are responsible for managing the buying process, applying the sourcing policies, and interfacing with suppliers. You'll also source quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, and collaborate with the Accounts Payable team to resolve any payment issues.

In this role, your duties will include:

  • Source and purchase goods and services to meet business needs, within established budget and quantity requirements
  • Develop and execute procurement plans, including creating and issuing RFQs, RFPs, and contracts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality to ensure timely delivery of materials and services

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery, quality, and cost-effectiveness
  • Conduct supplier assessments and performance evaluations to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve supplier performance and overall supply chain efficiency

Procurement Controls and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures, including auditing and implementing controls to prevent non-compliance
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and invoices
  • Monitor and report on procurement spend, including tracking and analyzing spend trends and identifying areas for cost savings

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration) is preferred
  • 5 years' experience working in procurement and purchasing, preferably in the oil and gas industry is required.
  • 2+ years of experience with vendor management - preferably purchasing chemicals
  • 2 + years' experience negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with experience using procurement software and tools
  • Familiarity with the Pressure Pumping industry and its unique requirements
  • Knowledge of international trade and customs regulations
