Laundry Technician II - Tyler

Summary:

The Laundry Facility operates to supply linen to the ministries. Operational duties for the soiled side of the laundry facility to include machine operations: tunnel washer, washer extractors, small washers, dryers, scales, and rail management. Unloads clean linen from the clean side. Assists with loading/unloading of small dryers, washes cart washers and loads trucks. Additional duties include weighing, sorting, documenting, and processing soiled linen. Keeps the soiled side clean and neat during the shift and at the end of each day.

Responsibilities:

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  
• Assists with sorting of all soiled linen according to established protocol.
  
• Correctly weighs out soiled linen as needed according to washer standards and stages carts to make ready for loading. Records weights according to instructions from Supervisor. Loads and unloads washers to meet expectations.
  
• Assists with dryer management on the clean side by loading and unloading of dyers and assists with any linen folding activities as needed.
  
• Keeps area clean throughout shift and prior to leaving.
  
• Performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner while following all standards and regulatory requirements.
  
• Staff may encounter hazardous materials: Sharps and Chemo drugs.
  
• Wears appropriate PPE according to policy and procedures.
