Senior Advisor - Business Analysis (Rio Tinto Services Inc., South Jordan, UT):

Generate and evaluate business cases for investments proposals, commercial and business development opportunities by building and maintaining valuation models and associated business. Support the development of business cases for capital expenditure and project justifications, clearly communicating context and reasoning. Write investment committee papers, to present to the Rio Tinto senior management team. Contribute to the asset strategy and planning processes by conducting analysis and providing updates on the valuation of assets. Maintain valuation models for assets.

Conduct valuations to support business cases.

Telecommuting permitted up to 20% per week.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration with a finance/economics concentration or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience. Alternatively, a Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration with a finance/economics concentration or a related field and 3 years of work experience will be accepted.

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in all of the following:

  • Valuation of assets;
  • Financial modelling and reporting;
  • Data Analysis;
  • Application of valuation concepts and metrics (NPV/IRR);
  • Prior experience in mining and metals, oil and gas or other capital intensive heavy industry; and
  • Excel modelling and understanding of VBA.
