AMPI owns seven Midwest-based manufacturing plants where 10 percent of the nation's American-type cheese, processed cheese and butter is produced. The cooperative's award-winning cheese, butter and powdered dairy products are marketed to foodservice, retail and food ingredient customers. In 2019, the co-op launched its Dinner Bell Creamery brand and accompanying Co-op Crafted promise, highlighting more than 50 years of dairy farm families partnering with skilled buttermakers and cheesemakers.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES



  1. All AMPI employees have an obligation to report employee safety, food safety and food quality issues to personnel of authority.
  2. This position has heightened food safety and food quality responsibilities.
  3. Properly weigh, seal, and palletize each bag
  4. Use a forklift to load and unload products and supplies safely, without causing damage.
  5. Use a forklift to stack palletized bags in the warehouse without causing damage.
  6. Properly set the printer with the correct Julian date, lot number, and bag numbers.
  7. Maintain good housekeeping and clean up equipment. Notify the supervisor when supplies in the bagging department need to be reordered.
  8. Maintain proper documentation in all formats of recordkeeping.
  9. Adhere to all aspects of company and customer safety, sanitation and site policies.
  10. Assists with training new employees.
  11. Aid the maintenance personnel, when needed, for machine repairs or troubleshooting.
  12. Adhere to all Quality and Food Safety policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity.
  13. Adhere to all Safety policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity.
  14. Adhere to all GMP policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity.



EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

* High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
* Must be able to maintain a valid forklift operator license.
