Job Description
Rate of Pay: $17.75 per hour + $0.50 shift premium 2am- 10:30am PURPOSE OF POSITION: The primary functions of this position are to clean, set up and assemble kitchen equipment, form and cook batches of filling, conduct inventory and document all pertinent information in regard to HACCP, traceability and batch records. The Cook Operator will ensure that all needs in the kitchen are being met and will coordinate all aspects of kitchen operations with the lead and supervisor. The cook operator will assist with training and set-up as needed by the lead and supervisor. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Weigh out and manually add bags, buckets, scoops and shovels full of flavorings, spices and other ingredients to the cooker according to the recipe. Pre batch and stage ingredients. Set up for schedule changes or other adjustments as needed.
- Assist with and ensure completion of CCP 1 & CCP 2 HACCP documentation, traceability and batch records.
- Attend daily meetings and assist in making decisions and calculations regarding fill requests from production.
- Obtain and fill containers, vats or tubs of meat, beans, cheese and other ingredients, move to cook station as needed.
- Coordinate and conduct daily raw material inventories. Follow FIFO of ingredients in kitchen and report any abnormalities to supervisor or lead.
- Obtain work schedule, obtain paperwork and prepare for operations. Assist supervisor and lead with shift set-up
- Report to assigned workstation and obtain tools, check equipment and check recipe as required.
- Manually bucket product into gondolas to cooler or cook station as required
- At end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties and complete all required paperwork
PROPOSITO DEL PUESTO: Las funciones principales de este puesto son limpiar, configurar y ensamblar equipos de cocina, formar y cocinar lotes de relleno, realizar inventarios y documentar toda la informacion pertinente con respecto a HACCP, trazabilidad y registros de lotes. El operador de cocina se asegurara de que se satisfagan todas las necesidades en la cocina y coordinara todos los aspectos de las operaciones de la cocina con el lider y el supervisor. El operador de cocina ayudara con capacitacion y la configuracion del equipo segun sea necesario por el lider y el supervisor. FUNCIONES ESENCIALES DEL TRABAJO Pesar y agregar manualmente bolsas, baldes, cucharadas y palas llenas de saborizantes, especias y otros ingredientes a la olla de acuerdo con la receta. Preracionar y agregar los ingredientes por etapas. Configurar cambios de horario u otros ajustes segun sea necesario.
- Ayudar y garantizar la finalizacion de la documentacion HACCP CCP 1 y CCP 2, la trazabilidad y los registros de lotes.
- Asistira reuniones diarias y ayudar en la toma de decisiones y calculos de acuerdoa los requerimientosde produccion.
- Obtenery llenarrecipientes, baldeso tinas de carne, frijoles, queso y otros ingredientes ymoverlosa la estacion de coccion segun sea necesario.
- Coordinar y conducirinventarios diarios de materias primas. Seguirel FIFO de ingredientes en la cocina e informarcualquier anomalia al supervisor o al lider.
- Obtenerel horario de trabajo, obtenerla documentaciony prepararsepara las operaciones. Ayudar al supervisor y al lider a planearla jornada de trabajo.
- Reportarse a su area de trabajo y obtener lasherramientas, verificarel equipo y verificarla receta segun sea necesario.
- Colocarmanualmente el producto en gondolas y transportarloa la estacion de enfriamiento o coccion segun sea necesario
- Al final del turno, asegurartodo el equipo, realizartareas generales de limpieza y completartoda la documentacion requerida
Qualifications
- Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform the job

- Must be able to follow instructions
- Must be able to understand and follow all written SSOP's
- Must be able to understand SDS (Safety data sheets)
- Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift 50 llbs.
