SPA's Air Force and Army Programs Portfolio provides aviation-focused analysis and program management for life-cycle systems engineering and logistics support, rapid capabilities development and fielding, cyber warfare operations, nuclear C3, and integrated air and missile defense planning. We provide advanced studies, wargame development, and analysis to support materiel operations, supply strategies, and fleet readiness.

SPA has an immediate need for a Senior Systems Engineer to support our customer in Ft. Belvoir, VA. #MC



Responsibilities

Responsibilities include Strategic Planning and coordination of program-wide activities, aligning multiple experiments so that the combined synergy leads to the development and testing of desired end-state capabilities. This includes:

    Development of objectives, measures, and metrics for each Experiment, to include supporting the writing of Experiment Plans.
  • Refining a draft Personnel Recovery (PR) Campaign Plan to support short, mid, and long-term PR experiment objectives supporting the Joint Warfighting Concept (JWC).
  • Ability to work onsite, up to full time, depending upon client needs.
  • Ensuring compliance with DoD Acquisition Framework requirements
  • Supporting to JPRA in development of integrated budgets and Program Objective Memorandum (POM) submittals.
  • Creation of experiment proposals and plans.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least ten years of relevant experience, including:
  • Three years designing, managing, and/or executing Service or Joint experiments or Joint exercises
  • Active DoD Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI

Desired:

  • Systems Engineering or Operations Research degree
  • DoD program office experience
  • Five years designing, managing, and/or executing Service or Joint experiments or Joint exercises
  • Experience maturing technology, including performing technology development, testing, integration, and transition to production.
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI
