Are you passionate about operational excellence in Talent Acquisition? We're seeking a dynamic and strategic Leader, Talent Acquisition Operations to elevate our hiring experience and recruitment support function. In this critical role, you'll lead a high-performing team of Recruiting Coordinators and Specialists, driving service excellence, process efficiency, and compliance across our hiring lifecycle.

What your day would be like

You are responsible for:



  • Leading the daily operations of the recruiting coordination team to ensure timely, high-quality support for recruiters, candidates, and hiring managers.
  • Driving operational excellence across interview scheduling, offer processing, background checks, and onboarding workflows.
  • Collaborating with Talent Acquisition and HR leadership to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Ensuring compliance with hiring policies, regulatory standards, and internal audit requirements.
  • Supporting change management and training efforts for new tools, systems, and workflows.
  • Championing a culture of customer service, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Minimum Requirements
Leader, Talent Acquisition Operations


  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field preferred
  • PLUSfive (5) years' experience in Talent Acquisition/Recruitment operations/support or other directly related Human Resources discipline
  • OR combination of nine (9) years directly related education and experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills required.



Preferred Skills and Experience


  • In depth knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors applicant tracking system and experience with functional level system administration
  • Strong knowledge of federal compliance programs and requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and writing skills with the proven ability to teach, train, coach and develop staff.
  • HR and/or project management certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR, PMP, CAPM, etc.)

Major Accountabilities

1) Leadership and coordination of the Talent Acquisition Operations team of Recruiting Coordinators and Recruiting Specialists.

2) Provides training, coaching, counseling and encouragement to TA Operations team.

3) Maintain recruitment documentation and ensure information in applicant flow database and job files are complete, accurate, and legally compliant. Maintain security and confidentiality of candidate information.

4) Perform functions that ensure on-boarding of new, promoted, and transferred candidates is consistent company-wide and provides the optimum candidate experience.

5) Oversees team schedules, assign tasks and services, and focuses team effort on continuous process improvement to maximize team output.

6) Monitors expenditures of department ensuring prudent use of company money and resources.

HybridRole:

Employees in hybrid roles will work both in their home offices and alongside their colleagues at an APS facility or other work location for meaningful in person engagement.

As of January 2025, hybrid-role employees will be asked to work about 40% of their time in person at an APS or other (non-home office) location.

*Employees in Hybrid roles are required to reside in Arizona (or NM for Four Corners-based employees). Role types are subject to change based on business need.
