Overview NaphCare is hiring a Part-Time Psychiatrist (16 sixteen hours per week) to join our team at the Wayne County Jail at 5301 Russell Street, Detroit, Michigan. As a Correctional Psychiatrist, you will oversee clinical responsibility for the mental health programs within the facility, while working alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex mental health needs. Responsibilities The Psychiatrist is responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnosing mental health conditions to facility residents that protects the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. Additional responsibilities may include and not be limited to:
Providing medication management, therapy, and other evidence-based treatment plans to address mental health needs

Physical Capabilities: Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
