DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform semi-skilled and skilled work in several trades. You will provide daily upkeep and long-term maintenance of buildings and grounds. You will also use skills in the carpentry, plumbing, heating, cooling, painting, masonry, and electrical trades as well as maintain Commonwealth vehicles to ensure safety and cleanliness. This role requires the ability to form effective working relationships to function as a lead worker with other semi-skilled workers and communication skills to provide maintenance training for assigned campers. In addition, you will complete training and recertification courses, drive vehicles to pick up deliveries, and maintain strict accountability of tools, equipment and materials. - Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.

- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $39,785.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Special Requirements:
- You must have possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
Other Requirements:
- You must be willing to accept employment at Southeast Youth Development Center and commute to this location in Montgomery County.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
