Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Consultation Liaison Psychiatry About UMass Memorial Health - UMass Memorial Medical Center: UMass Memorial Health - UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Consultation Liaison Psychiatry team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment, providing psychiatric consultation services to patients admitted to medical/surgical units and those presenting in the emergency department. The ideal candidate will make a significant impact on patient care by addressing the interface between psychiatric and medical illnesses. About the Department of Psychiatry: We are the largest provider of psychiatric services in central Massachusetts, with a team of over 400 faculty members working across a range of clinical, research, and academic settings within UMass Memorial Health and the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School. Our Department of Psychiatry is recognized as a national leader in various sub-specialties, including public sector psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, addiction psychiatry, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Job Summary: The Nurse Practitioner in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry will provide psychiatric consultation services to patients admitted to medical/surgical units and those presenting to the emergency room. You will work closely with attending psychiatrists, medical teams, and nursing staff to develop integrated treatment plans that address both medical and psychiatric concerns. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide evidence-based psychiatric interventions, educate staff, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of psychiatric disorders in medically complex patients.
