Title: Senior Air Quality Specialist Location: Remote (Virginia) Job Type: Full-Time What's the Opportunity? Support our growing air quality and climate change practice as a key member of project teams, by contributing to the development and review of related technical analyses for criteria air pollutants and greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories, environmental planning (e.g., California Environmental Quality Act [CEQA], Washington State Environmental Policy Act [SEPA], National Environmental Policy Act [NEPA]), regulatory compliance and air permitting efforts, and green remediation. This role entails interacting with clients and overseeing supporting technical staff in the development of project deliverables. This role also includes project management and project business development.
Lead, develop, implement, evaluate and review technical approaches for executing air and GHG analyses and dispersion modeling, including the use of appropriate models (e.g., CalEEMod, EMFAC, MOVES, AERMOD) to complete air quality and GHG assessments and inventories. Develop, review and maintain modeling-related protocols and report summaries. Evaluate and recommend emissions reduction and control technologies and demonstrate compliance with local, state, and federal regulations with an emphasis on mobile source and port related emissions and controls. Critically review and interpret applicable regulations, including tracking emerging issues to advise project teams and clients. Direct, prepare and review technical documents, present findings to clients and agencies, and conduct agency outreach and coordination when needed. Develop scopes, budgets, and schedules for planning and permitting projects. Mentor and/or oversee staff supporting the company's air quality program.
